“Who would have thought that a little girl from Cuba would grow up to live in New York City and study acting?” - My mom

When I moved to the United States at the age of 10, to a small town in Pennsylvania, I thought my dream of becoming an actress might be over. The language barrier and my newfound shyness made everything feel uncertain. And yet, theater became my refuge, a place where I could be anything, even at a time when I didn’t quite feel like myself.

As an actress, I want to use my voice to tell stories that explore the complexity of the human experience. to tell the untold stories, the ones that linger within an audience, and most importantly, the ones that focus on the spread of love and empathy.

When I’m not working in the theater, you can usually find me picnicking with friends, strolling down the piers, or listening to my ever-growing playlist filled with The Beatles, Labi Siffre, The Smiths, and Rodriguez. Where you will find me most nights, though, is rewatching a good ’90s or 2000s rom-com. My true comfort activity after a long night of rehearsal.
